Fitting U2Q7 LSD unit into M2P4 Gearbox
Hi guys
Just a quick question.
Would the U2Q7 LSD unit itself fit into a M2P4 gearbox?
Would it be a matter of removing the original M2P4 differential and fitting the U2Q7 LSD in?
I only ask this because I know my M2P4 gearbox is sound, has the same ratios as the U2Q7 and don't want to waste removing it and then fitting a whole U2Q7 gearbox which will most likely require a rebuild or additional work
Thanks guys

Well you have to remove the gearbox from the car to do the diff and I'm pretty sure the atr lsd won't fit a non lsd gearbox? I know rich@ paw said something about the lsd's not being interchangeable and also quaife only list there doffs to fit non lsd gearboxes?
That will require more research as it's only off the top on my head

Hi All. clarification from Rich at PAW regarding the fitting of the U2Q7 diff in the M2P4 gearbox
Yes the U2Q7 LSD ill fit directly into your M2P4 gearbox. You can swap your crown wheel over onto it but you will need the speedo drive gear or complete VSS from an ATR also as the drive on the LSD is different.
You will also need to fit new diff bearings.
The ATR diff is a nice well mannered LSD so good for road and occasional track. If you were looking at a more track focused set up then there are other better options out there such as Quaife or Kaaz.

Rich
