Did someone hear something? :?

I run 215/45/17's on a Motegi - previously Yokohama Advan Sport 103 (Extra Load)- great dry grip, average in the wet (I say better than that in an old thread on here but have revised my opinion and need to revise text). All 4 lasted about 10k, with a lot of steady commuting in that.

Recently put on Goodyear Eagle F1's (Extra Load) - not put that many miles on yet but so far pretty impressed (I also slate these elsewhere having used them on another car... need to revise my text on that too   ). Seem to have decent feel and be fairly progressive. Much better wet grip, dry grip seems as good. Definitely another option to consider I'd say. Not especially cheap.

I'd have tried the rainsports if I hadn't tried these.

I have done some decent mileage on the Rainsport 3's now and I am happy with them. Grip is excellent in all conditions I have driven in. Standing water is no match for them.

I haven't had them on track yet but I am going to get a pair to replace worn RS2's on the front of my tack car for in the wet.

If you do go for them get the XL side wall, I wouldn't bother with the regular side wall as that is a bit too soft.
