No mate not a gauge, follow the top rad pipe from the rad back towards the engine and you will find the thermostat housing inside that is the thermostat that probably needs replacing mate, there's guides on YouTube and on here somewherecrigal.bb6 wrote:I cant see it being the thermostat as it didnt have one when I bought it lol. So wierod....... I fitted a new one a couple of mounths ago. Gauge reads correct temp. Did your temp gauge work correctly. I.e get up to temp?Turbomick1985 wrote:I had something similar happen on my 5th gen 2.0 and it was thermostat, quick and easy to fix, I did it myself and Im terrible at mechanical stuff, you might want to see if its the thermostat before you go pulling radiators out of cars

Lol you have misunderstood me. I know qhat a thermostat is and I have allready fitted a new one. When I went to fit it ther was only the metal outer part of the thermostat with the rubber seal in the housing. I cant see it being the thermostat because its new mate.Turbomick1985 wrote:No mate not a gauge, follow the top rad pipe from the rad back towards the engine and you will find the thermostat housing inside that is the thermostat that probably needs replacing mate, there's guides on YouTube and on here somewherecrigal.bb6 wrote:I cant see it being the thermostat as it didnt have one when I bought it lol.
