Ah I see. Lucky you!

You can see where the clip is supposed to be in the first picture, plus there are signs of rubbing in several places. I guess whoever had it before you must have done some jiggerypokery to get it to not rub anymore. What is the metal bit like where the clip is supposed to be fitted? Is it broke like the rest of us peasants? Plus your bars appear to be bent at different angles to the ones in Merlin's pictures, but it is hard to tell if that's actually true.

Not sure what you mean by metal bit where the clip is meant to be.
Yes the bars do and are bent differently to yours. I can honestly say im not sure if they previous owner has moved them or not.
I cant see Honda designing 2 different ways of doing it. But dont you have the metal lip in the middle of the picture where one bar rests on?

Sorry, the hole bit. Ringed in red here:

Image

There are two holes that locate the clip but one is obscured in your picture by the bar.

No I don't have that lip and as you say I can't imagine Honda designing two systems just for some poxy torsion bars.

If you look at the blue ringed bit you can see it's the same shape as the hole that the clips sits in, it looks like someone has made a new bit to replace the damaged area, given up and just stuck it on and pulled a lip up? If you look in your boot at the red ringed bit I imagine it's mangled.
