mercutio wrote:your never gonna get a piece of mdf in the boot to cover the floor in piece, so you cut it out to the shape of your boot floor. Then cut the hatch out where the wheel well is, and then cut the main piece so it will go in and rejoin it once in the boot then hinge the hatch.
I don't have anything to draw you a picture that I can put on here
Ah yeah i see what you are saying now. cheers!

i think Top Prelude on PUK/LG did a boot install using the spare wheel well, might be worth checking his thread for ideas.

I did this on my old civic, strip out the boot, give the wheel well a good clean and line with cling film. Buy some fibreglass and make a thick mould of the wheel well with the top edges flattened out. then use your boot carpet as a template and cut out 3 sections of MDF 2 sides and the middle secure the middle to the fibre glass mould and seal it off, pack this with the insides of a pillow before installing the sub (better sound). fit it in the boot. Being a custom fit you shouldnt get much movement so no real need to fix it down. place the sides in and cover with carpet or leather or whatever. simples :D :D
