And how is ride height adjusted?
Ah, the dial adjusts the dampening, not the sprint rate. The spring rate is constant, dependant on the springs you have fitted.

See here for a comparison of spring rates of different coilovers http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/topic4166.html

Yes, but how does one determine an exact figure on dampening rate/ride height, or is it all approximated by simply counting the number of turns for each respectively?

Ride height you can measure with a ruler/tape/etc.

As for damping, if you understand Newton's third law and the relative formulae plus the exact spec of the shock then you could probably work something out that you could fit into some scale somewhere. As I understand it twisting the knob adjusts the aperture of the holes the fluid is pushed through. Bigger the hole the less resistance, so the bouncier the ride. I'd be hesitant to assume that for example one click adjustment equates to +2% stiffness or something like that, since I imagine the increase is exponential. I'm probably wrong though

This is how I think of it

"Damped sine waves are commonly seen wherever a harmonic oscillator is losing energy faster than it is being supplied."

Decreasing the aperture increases the friction/compression and so loses energy at a quicker rate.

When Crunchy asked this:

Why give a bland 'yes' or 'no' answer with no supportive reasoning when you can exercise your mind? ;)

I'm happy to learn if someone (Rob?) actually knows definitively.

Well Donald turned my knob and it made it harder. Too hard, so he's turned it back a bit so it was a medium hardness and it was more comfortable.
