Gave the Prelude a little wash today

Post by nick_s » Sun Mar 30, 2014 9:53 pm

I gave the Lude a bit of a wash today to test a new shampoo. It also happened to coincide with an evil rain shower containing Saharan sand, so it was a win win scenario for me.

I took a very simple approach given the sand:

MagiFoam
Wash (Simoniz Wash & Wax)
Cherry Glaze
Tyre Dressing

Not a rocket science approach, just a maintenance wash and bit of Cherry Glaze to polish and protect in the interim before a proper detail.

A few photos before:

Bit of foam action to gently remove the sand:

For a quick maintenance wash, I can't complain. It's always a case of wanting to do more, alas time and what not was against me today. That said, I'm just glad she's clean :D

Cheers fella :) It's a fantastic product, doesn't stain rubbers, gives a great gloss and above all else is ridiculously easy to use.

It happens a lot actually. Sand storm in the desert whips the sand into the upper atmosphere, drifts over on the breeze and gets dumped in the rain :(

Yeah I use it everyday on valets we do for used car dealers, very cost effective which is great as they don't like to pay anything

Did you know you can use it to dress trim as well? Not many people do, always handy on a quick valet.
