I think it's the other way around, but a similar outcome, the valves are open by default and if removed the valves remain open, which will hurt low air flow and torque.

you can remove the IAB vaccum tank/box if your taking the intake resonator out ;)

im confused - this is the black box that sits just behind the battery?

You only tend to know of it when you remove the intake manifold, and accidentally break it. :suicide: Yes, I've done this. :facepalm:
