without seeing it in person it really is difficult to diagnose faults like this

I've just thought, check the PCV valve in the rocker cover, when they break, they can cause funny idle problems. Just another thought.

No problem. As previously said, check alternator output, >14.5 v charging. Still looking through manual for clues

Only other possibility is the EACV. But by looks of it, the motor uses a shed load of inputs to determine idle speed

Really? After work the day I took it out a run and same again once heated up switched it off went into shop came back out started it it wouldn't start!! After kicking fuse area few times it started!! But idled at 500 and was juddery to pull away had to stick a good amount of vtec into it to ease the anger haha.
