well ive just woken up after having the weirdest dream thats put a question in my head!

You know some of our cars are jap imports yeah....well why are all the little switches and stuff written in english?! like the "auto" thing on the drivers window, or the lock button, why arent they written in japanese?! i mean surely not all japanese people speak english right?! imagine buying your brand new car and finding that some of the shizz inside is labled in a different language! id be pissed! is there actually a reason for it or am i thinking into it abit too much?

Some words have no direct translation, though I would've thought there was something for "auto"

Maybe they were changed ready for import?

The only word I can think of that's recognised worldwide (in terms of signs or written instruction) is 'stop'.

now you come to mention it it is a little odd that there are not lots of jap symbols all over the place. they use the same arabic numerals as us so maybe its just a nod to the acceptance that english stands astride the world of language as a Nissan GTR stands amongst MX5's

Empire did us one defined favour. all our jap imports already speak our language.

i think bits were changed before exporting but they forgot the most important

don't try changing any fuses unless you know someone with a ukdm

could have changed the fuse box covers

lol that seems like a load of ball ache though, like even the heater controls are english and that...how the hell would Mr Wang know what "manual select" means if he doesnt sprekka the engris?
