I have never done the swap myself but I have spent enough time doing suspension jobs on my 4th gen.Dbo wrote:So has anyone got all the bits needed on a 2ws going?
Has anyone done it and is there a write up of how?
Need subframe/ toe arms and bolts any more?
Any info and advice and parts please!!!
You'll need the 2WS subframe and toe arms. Any toe arms you get make sure the boots on the ball joints are good otherwise they are worthless as you cannot buy the ball joints separately. You can either stick with the OEM toe arms or you can get aftermarket toe arms that do not have booted ball joints, plus the aftermarket arms have stiffer bushes than the OEM toe arms.

The OEM toe arms have the only bushes on the car that cannot be polybushed. If you are using OEM toe arms I would get some new bushes from Honda. As for the lower control arms, they can be polybused, but if you don't want polybushes this is the time to get new OEM bushes in there. Chances are that any bushes in the original arms will need replacing anyway.
I would get new lower & toe arm bolts, nuts, and plates. I reused my old ones (well.. the ones that didnt get chopped out with an angle grinder) and regretted it. They all needed replacing once I went to get a wheel alignment. If you are looking for part numbers you can use the number for the bolts and bit for the UK 2L Prelude.

Interesting. Could you point me in the direction, toget aftermarket toe arms? I've not seen any.
I will carrying out this conversion soon.already have a full energy suspension bush kit to be fitted. Although you say the toe arms can't be poly bushed so that's a blow.
I will probably replace them with after market ones.
Can all the other bushes in it around the subframe be replaced with poly?
Cheers

Yeah there are no bushes for OEM toe arms in the Energy Suspension Master Kit. All other bushes can be replaced with poly ones.
Megan Racing toe arms. I have these as well as a few other Luders here: http://www.madmotors.co.uk/megan-racing ... -arms.html
If you have the ES poly kit this should be of use to you: http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... -t580.html
