ok so apparently the problem is now solved. it just needed some good grip and some muscle, the bolts eventualy came off and i cleaned everything and put everything back together.now the idle is stable at around 1500rpm, cold start (maybe a bit too high?)
thanks for your help guys

Cold idle at 1500rpm on start up is perfect ;)
should drop to around the 750-850 mark once warmed up :)

Well, i drove the car and it was fine, but when the temperature gauge reached one third the idle started to go up and down again.so, the fitv controls de idle when cold and the iacv controls the idle when hot, right? So what should i do now ? Should i clean the iacv valve ? Is there any tutorial on the Forum ?

Here's a little guide to cleaning the IACV: http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1575913

It's easy to do, they have a little mesh filter than gets clogged up, so worth cleaning it. I remember cleaning mine a few years ago but it wasn't the source of my problem and wasn't too dirty anyway.

Just make sure you don't drop any of the bolts... I dropped one and spent the best part of an hour searching for it as it ended up on top of part of the sub-frame IIRC and could not be seen from anywhere other than jacking the car up and looking from underneath!!

I recommend removing the radio fuse for a minute as that reset my system when I had a similar problem to you. Also make sure your coolant is full, with no air pockets as that causes a hunting idle. You can also spray carb-cleaner around the vacuum hoses when the engine is running to check for a reaction and therefore a leak.

Could it be there is air in the coolant line?

Get the car up to temp and open the coolant bleed valve to let any air out. The bleed valve is on top of the thermostat housing.

this sounds like the most likely cause.

take the car for a drive and warm engine up fully, then bleed any air out of the bleed nipple on the top of the thermostat.

repeat the bleed a couple of times and you will most likely find the problem will go away ;-)
