It sure did @Merlin
but as one fault was cured another arose as I had a burst coolent hose!!


but nothing abit of cutting and a jubilee clip didnt solve, time for some new silicone hoses though I think..

God I love this forum, just learnt I can eliminate (hopefully) 5th gear crunch by changing box oil to Amsoil MTF

Pays to look around have been contemplating the gearbox rebuild for a week or two..

Been to tweeks today and got my brakes, on the way thought id properly open it up and found she rev's to 9K!

this is all very well and good however to be perfectly honest after 6k it stops pulling as it should which is annoying..

now Im thinking that removing the black vacuum box (IAB VACCUM TANK) for the inlet butterfly's may have not been a good idea.? (Still running the lines and control solenoid just without the box)

power in the mid range I.e 2-5k seems to come and go too which makes me think its the control of the butterfly's too..

I think ill try it all just blanked off next see if it makes it better. .

Unless you have configured your vacuum lines to accommodate for this it was a bad idea.
