To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

I have 5.25" rears in mine. They fit nicely in the holders.
Sorry I don't know the depth but they need to be shallow enough to not interfere with the torsion bars.

Oooo where do i start.

Rear speakers have a place but they have to be processed correctly to COMPLIMENT the front stage and not drag it back.
I guarantee anyone who says they need rear speakers has not heard an excellent sound quality system where the entire audio spectrum comes from the front including the subwoofer.

Most importantly if you like rear speakers then go for them. Its your choice.

It's probably all down to cost.
If your pockets are deep enough, I'm sure you can get front speakers that sound like you're in the Albert Hall.

On a budget, fronts, rears and tweeters are good enough. :geek:

I recommend 2 way components so the tweeter will be replaced. But only put the tweeter high up if the components crossover point is above 3500hz. Otherwise put the tweeter in the doors next to the midbass.

Ah thanks Ratty. Could you possibly link here a few sets of these components that you talk about? Cheers.

I'd go 100 for the Genesis no prob, and maybe another 100 for some rears.

I do like having rears, even if they are attenuated. I'm gonna fit a sub in the hole where the factory option sub went, too.

Where to get the Genesis speakers though?

If you going to have rears leave out rear tweeters and high frequency sound. Just pulls the soundstage back. The 5th gen was setup this way.
