Prelude header

Post by Dogg1210 » Mon May 26, 2014 11:19 am

Bought a prelude header and downpipe of here a couple month back. Yesterday I took the header of and went to put my old atr aftermarket header on but it didn't line up with the bolts will I need to get a prelude aftermarket header? I thought with them both being h22 they would've fitted any help appreciated

Without being there it is hard to see why it would not fit. I can only assume that the exhaust manifold you bought was not for an H22 :?

Are you trying to mix and match manifolds and downpipes?

^Didn't think of that. Thought he was on about the stud pattern on the head.

unfortunately most aftermarket downpipes and manifolds are not interchangeable. they could all be h22 parts, just not compatible with one another.

Lol bugger  would I be able to drill the holes for where the studs go bigger for them to fit? Or would I be aswel to get my mate to cut the flange off my old downpipe and weld it to the one I got to make it fit?

Either or, but make sure that the pipes align properly once done, or it'll ruin the gas flow.
