Hi gents - my 3G Prelude has a sticker in the engine compartment saying it has been 'adjusted' for unleaded petrol. It looks like a retrofitted dealer sticker.
Presumably to 'adjust' it to run on unleaded, all they've done is retard the timing. So if I run it on Super unleaded then I should be able to get a little power back if I 'unadjust' it?
So - anyone know how to advance the timing on an 89 Prelude? And what setting should it be? Any thoughts welcome...

Yes the mod was to adjust the timing and, iirc, fit different spark plugs and adjust the mixture setting too
I wouldn't go messing with it mate tbh.
comes to mind. But the adjustment for the mixture is either in a little box in the engine bay or on the ecu in the footwell, I can't remember tbh
