To be honest, it's not the annoyance it once was to me. I don't get it (but am aware other people do, and that's fine) but used to get annoyed a how much coverage it got. But now, I tend to watch stuff on Netflix, so the TV being stuffed full of sweaty men is less of an issue. I also tend to get my news via the web these days, so again, simply don't click the 'sweaty men showering together' link and you can avoid it.

Also, this is very handy should I find myself in a room full of sweaty men lovers:

It annoys me much when there is a game at Wembley, and I have to share a tube carriage with large groups of men who will insist on drinking and chanting.

Though I have deduced through this that Arsenal fans are more middle class than Tottenham fans.

I didn't ;) That's why I said 'supporters' - I know not everyone is like that, in fact the majority are not of course, but unfortunately is does seem like the minority is not particularly small sometimes... :?
Believe me, I have a measured view in it - My wife IS a a footy fan and sold the programs at Vicarage Road for 20 odd years, with two older brothers, so I know not everyone that attends a match is a tw@t  Just that I have seen stuff at matches that I haven't seen anywhere else. Maybe I've been unlucky. :)

And yes. Any big business is corrupt at some level. It always suprises me, like recently, that they have been shouting about how corrupt FIFA may be for example. I'm like, really? Did you not think that the biggest sport in the world with the largest to gain/lose might not be played entirely fairly at a business level?!

I think there must be decent money in tennis. All the grand slam events must generate some serious income.
Its a little different as the international team competitions are tiny by comparison with it not being a team sport really. Get 22 players on massive courts and then watch the world cup idea take off!!
