I'm not considering selling my lude so don't need to plan night time viewings.
I know no match is going to be 100%, but if I can get it so it's a similar colour it will be a start. Definitely not thinking about trying to have a similar metallic effect. Just don't like it looking as if I bought a spoiler off a different colour car and couldn't be bothered to paint it!
One more attempt at silver before I go for a silver / black theme.

colour match and get the thing you're painting really warm with a hair drier or heat gun when you paint it :D

Should be ok...

I recently had my rear bumper resprayed by Revive : http://reviveuk30.rtrk.co.uk/?scid=1370 ... 3572619395 (mobile vehicle painters).

They put your car undercover during the necessary work and have all the kit to ensure a bodyshop finish at half the price.

I half felt I could do the work myself as it was minimal, (wet and dry and prep is fairly straight forward), however, finish colour mismatch is always a concern, hence I decided on Revive and was very pleasantly surprised.

The resprayed bumper is an exact colour match to the cars body. (£144 inc VAT).

They only sprayed half the bumper for that price.

Same ish price I charge and my main rivals are Revive. I'm Chipsaway.

Pics of their work?

I've been in to the local paint mixing shop. They had two swatches for iceberg silver both considerably darker than my paintwork but neither anywhere near as dark as my bonnet spoiler. The guy i spoke to has been at this shop for 30 years and couldn't believe my car had weathered from b83m to what it is now.
That's not important though. The upshot is that they are mixing me some paint tomorrow based on a match rather than the code. Will see how that goes..... :?

To be fair I haven't read this thread, but why would you want to paint up there? :o

It'll be itchy afterwards too, I'm telling you. :?

Edit: Ooh I feel so cheap

I got some paint mixed up today. The guy tells me that Regent Silver (NH612M) is the closest match that they could come up with. It just so happens to be a Honda colour that was also used in 1998. Seems unlikely but I cant help wondering if it was sprayed with the wrong colour.

Your colour is Nordic mist. The paint can is wrong. Either mexed wrong or the wrong varient.

Regent silver and nordic mist/iceberg are pretty much identical in colour.
Also your car looks just like iceberg silver when it was sprayed. I can even do a few spray out cards and post them to you.

The problem is your matching spray paint in a can to spray painbt out of a gun.

You will get there.

Thanks.
I'll have another go with the mixed paint at the weekend and see how that looks. If still nowhere near I'll speak to you then.
