Air Intake to Throttle body ideas!

Post by RattyMcClelland » Wed Jun 18, 2014 6:40 pm

The JRSC relocates and angles the throttle body so the OEM intake will no longer fit.

I want to put my Type S intake back into the car.

This is what i have to deal with.

I have cut the OEM pipe and tried that was bit it wont work.

The Type S intake pip diamater is 83mm. The throttle body intake diamater is 76mm.

What can you pussypatrollers think off to get it connected?

Air ducting?

Could someone with a pipe bender, bend and stretch a piece of stainless tubing to fit? An exhaust fabricator perhaps?

Cant drive the car to a massive bender of exhausts and i need it running ASAP. CLutch change next week. THat will be interesting considering half the engine comes out to change it.

Hmm, small shoebox with two strategically cut holes in then haha

Good luck on the clutch change though, does the JRSC installation hinder things like clutch swaps then?

If you can find some 76 mm hose that's only 3 - 3.5mm wall just put a short section of that onto the TB and then use 83mm over that up to your intake.

I found a uk seller though, so that sped up the delivery.
