@duckface
  • 1. Just 1kg of Deox-C will be more than enough for 4 calipers, depending on how rusty they are and how much wire brushing you're prepared to do.

    2. I bought a 5 litre tub of Surfex which can be diluted. I'm not sure a 1 litre spray would be enough.

    3. The Deox-C does seem to lift off old paint. You may get lucky. :)
@CARRisma
  • Thank you for the birthday wishes but I must decline the offer of marriage. :o
@bb1boy
  • I would love to get my car up to concours condition and just use it for special occasions, but I don't have a garage or a second car. This is my daily driver and I do 150-200 miles per week.

    I am planning on keeping it forever.
    If my fortunes change in the future, she would definitely become a garage queen. :D

Rusty Arches

April 2015

I noticed my arches bubbling up about 6 months ago. :cry:
So far it's only attacked the inner lip of the arch.

Driver's Side.

Passenger's Side.

I had to act fast. Dremel back to bare metal.

Painted with BH Electrox zinc primer.

This is just a short-term measure to stop it spreading.
I’m currently formulating a plan of action to stop it for good. :geek:

Post by Pushki » Mon Apr 20, 2015 1:30 am

April 2015

Rust issues aside, she still buffs up nice. 21 years old this year. :o
This is after 4 days of intensive cleaning ready for the Summer.
