if you dont have time or energy for a full repair, wd40 on the rubber trims on both sides works great! its only a temporary fix, last time it lasted me 3-4 days, but will def help to pass the heat wave.

Lucky you. I had ordered motor from there but didn't get it yet.. Looks like I`m fooledmills wrote:My drivers side window decided to stop working the other day, perfect timing with this gorgeous weather we're having![]()

Think I need to completely overhaul mine as it was running slow for a while, now I can only hear the switch click, so it looks like the motor has gone to. Luckily I have spares

Anyway will look for one at end of june

If you strip them, align the glass properly and make sure the bolts are nice and tight that will sort half your problem. The other thing is buy some Shin Etsu grease and work it into the rubber window channels where the glass slides, as they dry out over time and cause a lot of friction, slowing the window motion, making it jerky and more likely to pop out as well.damon wrote:is this repair to stop the window jumping outside the seals I have to hold my window to make sure it goes up ok but both windows are slow same on my brothers EK9
You can then use the grease to nourish all the rubber seals in the car, sunroof especially (if you have one) which will make that a lot smoother as well.
