My boss had a 164 super 3l V6. It wasn't a pretty car but it sure was well equipped.
Anyhoo, it was an auto and as he was driving along one day the engine died. He thought maybe it had stalled and tried the starter again, nothing.
Turns out the cambelt had snapped, munching through valves and pistons.
£3000 to repair.
Just a reminder of what can happen if you miss a belt change.

I'm guessing not a lot as most people jobby themselves at the thought of owning an Alfa
I quite like alfa's tbh though, they normally do a pretty good job of their interiors and a lot of their cars are pretty stunning. I've no experience of their reliability though.
I'd say you're mental for buying a 3 litre daily driver, but I've been driving a 3.1 myself
tbh I've not noticed much difference in cost/time spent at the pumps than previously, but that probably says more about my idea of a sensible car than anything

I got it for £300! It has literally everything inside, satnav built in,phone, heated leather, cruise control, tcs, blah blah blah!
When you give it some it returns about 15mpg but taking it easy i get 25 which tbh isnt terrible, plus it makes a nice noise and the engine has polished bits
The only downside is its making me want to fix my lude rather than be strong and do the right thing which is breaking the bitch!

Love alfa Romeos, ther beautiful cars inside an out, even the 166 is so ugly at the front it becomes nice, my cousin got himself a 2.0 ts in Ireland with all the extras, he's got a fleet of yokes, Subaru b4 twin turbo, mk3 supra turbo, mk4 supra turbo, BMW 530, Lexus ls430 and a range rover classic as his daily and he reckons he the alfa was the nicest car he's ever had, he swapped it for the Lexus (he wants the v8 engine for his supra) but he wants another one for himself now but ther hard to find in ireland

Daily - Landrover Discovery 4
Backup - Honda Prelude 5th gen 2.0 (for when the Disco breaks down)
