EDIT: Does the re-worked engine feel any different?
It's funny, when I first drove it back, if anything it felt a little 'smoother' and almost quieter, but the more I drive it, the more familiar it feels, in a very good way. :) It's hard to know how much is memory/placebo effect etc.
It's pulls extremely well, that's for sure.

The only 'difference' in setup is it's running 10w-40 semi syth at the moment to help the rings bed in. After 500 or so miles I'll drain it out for fully.

Firstly, epic build.
I will have to take my car to PAW at some point. The place sounds epic, with top service.

Secondly, car is very :D :twisted: :shock: sexy!

Just wondering on the swap on the dials. Your now showing different mileage from the old to new? Does this not cause some havoc with MOT mileage. Obviously with a newly built engine I guess it's a bit redundant...?

Thanks. :)
In actual fact, the mileage is different again, as for some reason the el dials were over reading, so I swapped them for another set and all is now well.
Yes, fairly redundant when a new engine is involved. In an ideal world it would be nice to have the same numbers for chassis miles and continuity, but I don't plan on selling anyway and if I did, the receipts would prove the time of all engine work etc.
From an mot point of view, again at first it would look suspect, but be explained by the paperwork. Certainly nothing that an mot station is concerned about tbh, they just write the mileage on, it's for any buyer to check the details :)

Thanks @Drax :)
I can honestly say that giving up and breaking never crossed my mind.... It was rather, more of the same or fully forged lump :lol:
Joking aside, I knew how good it had been and just wanted to get that back asap. It was just gutting that the engine was killed through no fault of its own. I know you could say that about oil pump failure etc too but I'm sure you catch my drift.

@ted oh do tell! :)

Oh and if you like it, you know its up for lude of the month this month? :whistle: :scaredtoss: :lol:
