I have the standard dash, but have fitted illuminated "hyper" white clock faces and some stainless bezel rings. I actually bought the clock faces off ebay a few years ago and have been transferring them from lude to lude.

No, I have mentioned aspects of the conversion in various posts, but didn't do a guide. it wasn't until I was putting it all back together that I thought about it to be honest.duckface wrote:Really like the look of your digital climate control unit @andypont...did you do a guide? How much did you pick one up for? Cheers

I paid £100, but for that I got absolutely everything relating to climate control (heater matrix, with airmix motor already mounted, and dash loom etc.) which made it the simplest possible install. Feel free to ask any questions if you get a kit but are unsure about fitment.

Its not technically difficult, but is a bit of work. We swapped the whole dash over (wiring loom included) so there was only a couple of wires to splice to get everything to work (I think it was an indigolemon write up we used for the fixes). I believe its a bit more involved if using the earlier loom.Bludge wrote:Shame you are so far away, i could do with a hand getting mine in!andypont wrote:Thanks.
Yeah. Swapped the EL dash from his 'spare' lude into the one he uses.![]()
Looks complicated?
The worst bit was trying to remove, and particularly refit, the cable to the heater control slide. Very fiddly and nearly impossible to get to! Luckily it wasn't my car so I left Chris to fiddle with that and swear to himself while I got on with some easier bits.
