That lip is perfectly repairable. Just needs plastic welding from the front and back, filler and prime etc etc.

You wouldnt know my rear bumpoer was split. Same on my vans front bumper.

Keep the faith. There is no track time available at Modified Live so you aren't missing out on anything. So long as they are fitted for JapFest ;)

WHEELS!! tyres and other stuff :D

Post by macky_6 » Fri Aug 22, 2014 9:51 pm

Hey all,

Finally, after 2 years of ownership I managed to get my wheels fitted

It's been so long since I got them I better remind you what they are: Work Meister S2r's 17" 8.5JJ ET33 (forged ) powdercoated in Titanium.

Completing the look are Muteki Super Tuning lug nuts in blue and a brand new set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's in 215/45/17

All I need now is a set of centre caps. I thought I had got a cheap set on ebay but on fitting the were fractionally too small

Have also spruced up my interior with a set of chrome rings for the cluster guages, painted to match the wheels in Titanium ;)

Painted the surround black as it had been scratched a bit on the side with keys by the previous owner of course! Although it has kinda highlighted the fact that the top of the steering wheel boss is a bit scuffed too, so will need to get that done too. Which means the lower half is gonna have to get the same treatment...and the air bag......

Bit too early to comment on the tyres as they are barely run in but tyre roar has massively decreased compared to the previous Continental Sport Contacts in 225/45/16, plus the suspension seems to cope better with bumps suggesting that the wheels are much lighter than my old ones despite being an inch bigger!

Happy days :D

Wheels look fantastic, Macky.

I've got those tyres on mine, same size, and they are the jobby. Bags of feel, tremendous grip dry, very good wet, and let go pretty progressively. (Just watch out for potholes, mine are the XL's and I've still lost 2 to relatively small impacts).
