Valve clearance help
Right just thought if check mine. Following merlins how to.
I've just done cylinder 1 I've rotated the crank one turn so 360, as stated in the guide this should bring cylinder 3 to tdc. But it's not lol. Cylinder one still.
I removed the spark plug to see the number 3 piston goes back down as the marks on the gears come into align?
What I am doing wrong?

Oh right I see.Merlin wrote:I only posted it from PUKGreenyUK wrote:? Oh.. It's your guide though isn't? LolIt was written by a former member.
So am I right in thinking if I just adjust each valve when the love is at the top eg 180 from the rocker. I'll be ok to work though like this?Drax wrote:ideally you need two people doing this, one to turn the crank and one to check when the cam lobe is at the correct position for that particular cylinder - that's how ive done all of mine

use that as a rough guide only, you should be watching the cam gears really to see when the next two smaller arrows line up. there should be 4 sets on each of them as far as I remember, I shall check it out when I get home unless someone else confirms on this thread during that timeGreenyUK wrote:Oh right I see.Merlin wrote:I only posted it from PUKGreenyUK wrote:?
