My build thread :)

Post by Therealjj91 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 5:27 pm

Hi all, right I've figured I've been on here long enough now and got enough pieces sourced. My car started out as a standard 1998 185bhp uk 4ws when I bought her and since then I have fitted:

Fuji manifold
2.5" decat
2.25" mandrel bend straight through ss exhaust from decat back (will be going up to 2.5")
Carbon fibre induction kit with 6" blox filter and velocity stack with resonator box removed
Type S throttle body
F1 racing lightened flywheel
Magnecor 8.5mm HT leads
NGK iridium plugs
Energy suspension engine mount inserts
A/C removed
Lowered 30mm on H&R sport springs
Halo headlights
Tinted fogs
Tinted windows
JDM grey honeycomb grille
Full Motegi kit
Front upper strut brace
Black altezza rear lights

Parts I have sat in room waiting for engine rebuild:

Fully prelude converted ATR manifold with fuel rail, injectors etc.
Type s camshafts
Mahle Gold Series Pistons & ATR conrods
Torque solutions throttle body gasket
OBX short shift adapter kit
Oem cambelt, water pump and head gasket
Crank seal
Skunk 2 cam seals
M2B4 lsd gear box
ACL race bearings
XTD stage 3 paddle clutch
AROSPEED adjustable cam gears
Hondata intake manifold gasket
H23 manual tension conversion kit
Ralco RZ lightweight and underdriven pulleys
ARP head stud kit
Oem piston rings

Parts I have on order or will be coming soon:

Skunk 2 titanium valve springs & retainers
Socketed and chipped p28 ecu and conversion harness
Will remove balance shaft belt when engine rebuild is being done

Is there anything I'm forgetting? I'm open to suggestions, I just wanted to get on here and see what people think. I'm aiming for 240-250bhp after a final tune on a rolling road.

Just a little update, I've almost got all the parts together now, just 4 more bits to buy then I can get it done! Spoke to a mechanic mate of mine who will have my car for 2 weeks and it will cost a grand total off.... £600 :) so because it's cheaper then I was anticipating, I've taken the ATR intake mani and throttle body to be bored out to 65mm and port matched to each other. When the head is off the car, that's getting a head test and then a port and polish and matched to the intake mani. Anyone got any idea of what gains I should be expecting with that?
