Lol, it matters not what the 'people' might want. The result has been decided and we will all get used to it what ever it is the powers that be have decided to do. Scotland will stay with the union and it will then be told to get in line with westminster on all the things it thinks its won back over the last 100 years. Tax will go up, free prescriptions? PAH! free university for everyone?? See ya.
I find it a bit tasteless that we still have troops stationed in N Ireland, somewhere you have to cross the F ucking sea to get to, and that people were getting killed less than 20 years ago for the very thing we are giving scotland, attached to the same bit of land as england lest we forget, on a plate. What is it? The scots have been good little vassels for the last few centuries so we are letting them believe they can choose their future? Its a joke.
Either way we can all look forward to the Scots having a few years rennassance of being more 'Scottish' whichever way it goes. More whisky and battered pies will go down in the next 3 years than in the last 30 I bet you and bloody fair play too.
But I tell you what, If scotland go they had better bloody stay gone. Drunken texts telling us it was all a mistake and that you miss us and want to come back 6 years down the line will be met with derision and the biggest slap in the face you can imagine. To be honest the loss of face for scotland to have to beg to come back under our protection, after the total failure of their little experiment, would almost be humiliation enough. Almost.
If Scotland goes it alone there will be blood in the streets within a decade. There are not enough people willing to work hard enough, too much poverty and social disinclination and far too little education on what it means to be an independent country for one to be built... Too many Scot companies who will have to decide where to base themselves and decide just over the boarder is the better bet....
I am not sure how it would pan out a few weeks after a yes vote. I imagine very much like many people wandering about wondering what to do next now that the boss has gone to lunch. Nothing really getting done but a lot of talking and noise being made.
I point this towards the 'masses' who are endemic across the nation (UK), not to all scots obviously. I just cant see the thinking scot being able to rouse the rab c nesbits in the sink estates to actually get up and be free. freedom comes at a price and i dont think the 60% at the bottom of the pile understand this.
