I've always been taken the wrong why that's why I tend to be quiet most of the time

So all this is quite good an healthy for me

Right well now I've made my self look like a chimp with possible issues, I'm off to eat my sausage sandwich :D

TBH I saw not a lot wrong with the discussion earlier on in this thread. Any "fine, Scotland p1ss off" like comments are to be expected, I am quite thick skinned and didnt see anything to get flustered about.

I would expect the vast majority of people on LG will be against Scottish independence. I think most people in the UK are in favour of the union remaining Vs 2 ish million Scottish independenementalists and a few in England that want Scotland to go it alone.

TBH I struggle to understand where all the yes votes are coming from :? I see the odd "Yes" sticker here and there but the majority of the people who are publicly stating their preference are in the "No" camp. Practically every farmer round by me has big "No" boards in their fields, they must be wary of loosing subsidies.

Of course I can  Anyone who lives in Scotland and is on the electoral register can vote. I dont know how they incorporated the under 18s but since I am on the electoral register my voting card came though the door like any other voting/election situation. I have lived here for 30 odd years, half of my family is Scottish, my wife's family are Scottish and my wee boy was born here.

There are approx 400,000 English living in Scotland who are eligible to vote.

Ah I see, all I knew is that you were an Englisher, but if I'd thought about it it makes sense actually  Now that I think about it my mrs can vote and she's only been here 4 years.

Do you think the vote was extended to 16-17 year olds because 'six for 5 pounds, 1 pound each' thought some sort of youth led revolt might occur?

The Scots are very patriotic. Teenagers are not hugely financially minded so IMO it is a ploy to get more yes votes by distilling it down to a them/us thing.

Personally I don't give a crap about where the seat of absolute power is, Edinburgh or London. What matters to me is quality of life, the money in my bank account and my house. I, and by extension every other person I know in Scotland, have it pretty good at the moment but I am genuinely nervous about the possibility of the Yes vote succeeding. I'm not alone in that as there has been a run on moving money out of Scotland and into English banks.
