quick one about cambelt

Post by K30DPC » Wed Oct 22, 2014 2:23 pm

Hi folks

I'm heading a timing belt change. So I started as usual in local dealership. For 1451-P13-003, 13404-P13-003, 144-P13-014, 13405-PT-004, 14520-P13-013 they quoted me for ONLY 588.44 pounds without my discounts and this is absolute minimum of parts for the job. Adding water pump and few seals price is going up to almost 750quid+labour SIC!

So egay...
Already bought lifetime KS tensioner. And found this. Seals will be replaced with genuine ones but still price is quite good for what you get.

The question is...
Is this gonna fit my H22A2 as it's listed for A1 and A4 engines. I think it should but I know you will know better ;)

Yeah that will fit. The a1 was a US 4th gen engine while the a4 was from the US 5th gen Base and Type-SH. If that kit fits both of them then it will fit your engine too.

That kit is very cheap

Thanks Merlin.

It is cheap compering to local dealership prices. But also they gain some $$ from postage, and it doesn't contain tensioner. GMB is well known brand back in Poland as a good replacement for honda cars so I'm not worring about its quality. My all hondas were running GMB water pumps and none of them failed. I thing I'll have a go with this kit. Will replace seals for genuine ones and I do believe it will be fine.
