Can anyone do cut stickers? Need a favour...

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Just a wee note - if you're still getting earth buzz, whip all the hardware out and line the body cavities with copper foil (you can buy it in rolls off eBay). Then connect them all together with bits of wire through the routing (making sure you also attach the earth wire from under the bridge) and solder to the earth connection on the jack socket. I did that on one of my old buzzy Thunderbirds and it's quieter than a mouse now.

Planning to refinish another one of my Thunderbirds myself soon (got off eBay, last owner tried a "distressed" look which distresses me more than anything), but was thinking more of heat-gunning the old paint off rather than sanding. Once I see what the wood looks like, I might leave it or stick a coat of white paint on.

Then I plan to transfer an image onto it using a photocopier and some wood-transfer-gel stuff before lacquering. Then I'll have to replace the hardware, because Previous Owner distressed that too and it looks crap.

RELENTLESS GUITAR PORN!!!

I need to strip down my Ibanez S450 for a damn good clean and replace the top pickup as the sucker keeps sinking!! Anoys the crap out of me!

Oh and tip, get Rocksmith, it, well, rocks! However I do disagree with their interpretation of songs but its a good learning tool.

Had a look at Rocksmith write-ups just now and it looks a bit Guitar Hero-ey for the likes of me that's ancient and been playing since 1980 or so.

I like to look up Songsterr when I'm trying to figure out a song nowadays ... their online tab player is pretty nifty and gives you a good starting point.

(sorry for thread hijack here, OP!)

Songster I've not heard of.

Rocksmith is a similar thing for me, for example learning some Shinedown at the moment, and it keeps using an octave effect which sounds bloody awful, so I'm not paying much attention to that bit as I'll play it the way the band does.

He sounds like he'd enjoy some Tera Melos, going by the first one. 40 Rods to the Hog's Head.

Shiny - is it still buzzing with the paint/copper on?

Shouldn't be, unless your final earth connection is a bit duff.

Only a tiny bit with the tone and volume turned up, but i have read that this is a characteristic of the single coil tele pick ups.

Asked him about Tela Melos, he's heard them before says they are "OK" lol. He's into Cap N Jazz, This Town Needs Guns, Owen, American Football and much other math rock, progressive, post, emo or whatever genre music gets categorised into these days.

As long as it has bizarre tuning and time signatures, he's happy.
