I always thought it was about how fast you got round, So say if the car was power sliding or drifting round the corner and then the power was put down on the straights, would this not be a fast way compared to the smooth and balanced way ?

Not even close. Any loss of traction / momentum is a loss of speed. Lap times of someone sliding will always be slower than someone on the edge but not going over it.Kristoffer wrote:
