Crazy's Been Thinking Again!!!!

Yup, it's time to be concerned! I've been thinking again, and planning, and plotting, and it's usually dangerous when that happens!

I was thinking get a 5th or 6th generation Aerodeck, converting it to a van (just painting over the windows from B-pillar back), putting a crazy sound system in the rear, and a 4th gen lude front end conversion on it!!


I could then have a Honda Prelude Aerodeck Van



Does anyone have any idea on how interchangable things like the headlamps are between 4th gen ludes and 5th / 6th gen Aerodecks?



And no, I haven't been drinking! Dunno if that fact makes this idea better or worse?

you'd be better off using vinyl over the windows rather than painting wouldnt you? most places can colour match just as well as with paint, you'd just have to paint the rubber seals

Why not rip out the windows and replace with something a little more sturdy for van like applications like erm steel. The 4G front end should be ok to swap over with some hammer type mods and pehaps mechano to get things lined up and bolted in but tbh the easiest way would be get a 4th gen lude front clip and cut the front end off the aerodeck and get a chassis builder to weld it all up so it won't fall appart and list it as a custom/kit car due to the mechanical changes. Be cheaper to insure too but would have to pass an SVA and they like to see as many pics as you can snap off of the whole process to prove it's a kit car and it's your own work etc etc. The pics are also good to prove things to insurance and keep both VIN plates too, plus it's cool looking at shows to have a nice little story about it all.

This of course may well be of no help at all but you asked and Crazy you got my 2p
