i think thats comendable. i can see the point in the pimped tegs and civics but i really cant get away from the fact they are hondas fiesta/focus or corsa/astra.

These are all 'good' cars but they are also 'shopping car' 'hire car' 'basic dog car' to the core. polishing a nicely designed turd is still a turd. i dont know how any of you feel inside when you see a Focus ST or RS or an astra VRX but if its anything like me its a kind of revulsion. not strong but like finding you have trodden in one.....

A bells and whistles shopping car is great but its not like a bells and whistles coupe

i would also draw attention to the choices of the two pro's we have to take ideas from.

they are both using and pimping a civic or a teg at the moment as it fits the bill right now. But their long term projects, the cars they will eventually launch, are coupes. these are the cars that get the long term love. they are both using machines targeted to a wider audience. this is good marketing.
