Sikaflex for the win. Dow frames. James i too am a wannabe pikey i too would love to live in a shed on the top of one of our welsh mountains for feck all when i say shed i really mean log cabin surrounded by rare llamas . not that i have any interest in a filthy spitting animal but it seems to be the choice of log cabin owners on land with no planning

if it aint broke don't fix it https://www.facebook.com/pages/tram-roa ... 8502699270

Funny you should say ted... I have 4 tubes ready to go
That an fresh rolls of 60mm 3M double sided foam tape to remount the surrounds. It seems this, with the compression from the bolts, is whatgave them such good waterproofing.
In time it will be lamas, ponies and a couple of goats and some chickens. At the moment its construction

Hi I am doing the same conversion on a prisons transpor, had the same problems with windows, on mine the outside frames where bonded on, had to chisel them off, taking part of the glass fibre with them, I will take some pics of the work so far and post them

I am loving that phil. This is going to be along the same lines just a little bit less shiny
@john: I found a stiff thin knife and a few wallpaperscrapers and a heatgun worked wonders on the bonded ones. Heat the frame with the gun and it will come away easier. When you get to taking off the frames it makes you wonder why they bother with all the hardened steel rivets
How did you get them out? Thankfully the seller had done that bit...
I would be very interested to see your work so far buddy. I am just waterproofing the roof and then I am moving onto the window refit. I have most of the stuff here now. Just aiting on a rew rolls of tape. What lorry do you have as a base? I would have liked to get the 75e17. Might one day.
I will have a full roof repair update by sunday I would imagin. It is proving to be a bloody involved job..

Re: ''Fletch'' the 7.5ton Prison lorry camper conversion.
Thanks to a blustery rainy day I have had to do a load of paperwork.... BOOO
And installed the 4m of LED's I bought for the inside..........YAY

Not a great pic but you can see they come across the front, by the bed, about 1.10m then twist into the cable trunking to come out the other side and go down the length of the seating and kitchen area, another 1.90m. The last 1.2m of the RV is the bathroom and will be screened and have another light source
Its a much better light than the cold white the seller had in there. They have a switch just by the door and I also have a remote controller to dim them and make them do different things
