@becca Thanks! Yeah, looking forward to taking in the views....from my stretcher.
@honda-hardy Thanks bud. And for your really generous plan with your cooling plate.

TBH, it's one of the first things people ask, but as yyou say it's a perception - its actually fairly flat overall. The reason for going bottom to top is most of the time you have the prevailing wind from the gulf stream behind you....or from the eggs for breakfast.

I just wanted to give a bit of an update.
People are being really generous and I have now reached over £1200 of my £2600 target.
https://www.justgiving.com/Ben-Askem/
As part of the fund raising push, myself and the two friends doing the challenge with me are holding an event on the 15th of this month in Watford, which is based around a raffle and/or auction, with donations from businesses up for grabs.
Tickets are £10 per head and that includes food. Of course if any of you would like to come, please let me know, you're more than welcome!
The shops have been great and we have lots of hampers, meals, wine, vouchers, hair cuts, kids toys, etc etc etc up for grabs.
All the proceeds will go to The Hospice, split between our three fund raising efforts.
So really just wanted to keep you in the loop as you guys have been so kind with donating.
I will of course update further as the training intensifies....and then with 'in pain' shots from the ride itself!
