To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

Honda Alarm System

Post by prahunt » Sun Feb 08, 2015 7:06 pm

Got this fitted in my Prelude. However it doesn't work. Anyone else have one?
Or suggest how to check if it works? Or fix it?

I believe this is the remote for it. Light does come on, but doesn't seem to do anything.

Is yours a uk car? The fob looks very much like the Hamilton and palmer one - they had the contract for the factory fitted alarms at the time.
Helpful company, still going, have dealt with them a few times.
I'd start by looking at the siren in the engine bay. Check connections etc.
The rest of the alarm is behind the trim on the left side of the passenger foot well. Could have a look there too.
I can't remember if the alarm clicks when you activate it?
Also, does the immobiliser still work? If so, that would indicate not the alarm, but the siren.
Hope this helps.

Yeah UK cat.
That is helpful. I'll check through the points.
