What to check to reduce MPG?

Maybe Honda want you to disable the fuel system so you dont screw up the catalytic convertor with the unburnt fuel?

could be, but i think its a saftey precaution, compressed fuel and air is explosive.

even 260 miles to a tank is way off, i do know 4g tanks are 60 litres not sure on 5g, 60 litres @ 30mpg is 390 miles so what is going on?

I am lucky enough to have a complete car for spares so i'll try swapping over stuff see if it cures the problem

Has to be something, I'll do an oil change soon one less thing to rule out

I'm borrowing my folks car at the mo as I just can't afford to put fuel in the lude

Well tbh it's prob easier to put the UKDM through it's MOT and use that lol

It runs SO much better than the BB4

Swapped the Short ram pipe work and K&N cone for the a OEM intake and filter (Filter unknown but it's white and looks new) No resonator though

Lets see if that helps in any way

60 on a 5G as well AFAIK. I don't get anywhere near 390 miles though

Well I have a month doing 57 miles a day as me being out of work, I now have to work for free

Don't get me wrong i totally agree with making people work for free if they don't have a job. Just wish it wasn't an hour away or more with traffic.

i had to put 70 quid in the lude today I didnt have, to get to a job that doesn't pay anthing, with no word if they will pay mileage

So gotta go self employed, cos the job market is a joke

Well after a week of no Vtec and driving like Miss Daisy, filled the lude up today

380 Miles to 51 Litres so just short of 34 MPG

That's mixed driving inc traffic jams in the mornings

Most boring week of driving ever though
