I agree with LLL here.lewd lude lover wrote:good luck buddy. i think you would do better in the long run to use what you have rather than try and make it something its not. great that we can all mod as we wish though
You want a Type S but instead of having ATTS you want an LSD, isn't that basically the SiR S-spec? I thought they put out the same HP...? Maybe get an ATR gearbox (short ratio + LSD).
I know you want the interior and cosmetic stuff, but engine-wise wouldn't you be better of sourcing some ATR stuff from the continent and fitting that? I know you specified you wanted OEM stuff... well you can get that, just from a different model

ATR/H22A/H22A8 cams are all the same right? So some of those, ATR inlet manifold, Type S air box (A1ex has one for sale: http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/prelude ... t1609.html) and a tune and you shouldn't be far off making the 220bhp you're aiming for?
I'm sure I read that A1ex just had some work done at PAW recently with basically what I listed and made 223 or something?
Don't take my word for it though, I only just learnt what/where the bloody slam panel thingy is today

I feel I'm on a roll here, but yeah, isn't it the auto rad that's needed... not some AC thing?lewd lude lover wrote:ATTS is what makes the type S the type S imho. like a donut with no jam. boring.
question, why do you need an auto AC unit?
And I think someone posted a picture the other day showing how some components in the suspension on the Type S are different to other Ludes to accommodate the ATTS?

the whole front suspension set up is different. more ball joints and different cast parts. also the gearbox is unique to the type S.
auto rad would be needed if you were going to have ATTS as it uses the oil cooler for the auto box to cool itself.
so why do you need auto parts? *confused

6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.
Hi mates, sorry for the late reply, but here in Reunion island, I'm a bit behind, clock wise:)
So, I want an auto air conditionner simply because here, we use AC very, ver often, and I get used, I admit shamelessly, get used to that sort of AC. And it's, interior wise, more sexy for me.
I've already ordered a rosco racing ATR manifold, type S intake, and a 66mm throttle body.
Seems I didn't read enough about what make the Type S so special, thanks really for the enlightment here. Not to say I'm sad to learn all that.
And yes, what you said is very true, I love, definitely love my prelude the way it IS today. Coming from a nissan 300zx, a CTR EP3, an accord CL9 K24, the prelude is for me the car I wanted.
The fact that I want to add salt to the prelude is totally an optimisation of what is there, else, I would sell the car and get something else:)
But yes, I should look at those ATR gearbox with LSD.
I learned a lot just posting that "WTB" post, pfiou:)
