And just to re-iterate Ratty's comment, mine is a '99 H22A8 (61k miles, 15 services and 2 cam belts) and although the pickup can be quite noticeable in first and second with a wide open throttle, it doesn't really "kick" as Donald's (characteristically idiosyncratically defined) muppets would seem to suggest.
Take my advice. Forget chasing a slap in the back and obsess about something really awesome that none of your friends cars have. 4WS.

I'm quite happy with the power delivery, and the noise it makes when the window is down is too good. However after being out in it tonight I can safely say that nothing else handles as good as my lude. drokk me did it put a massive smile on my face. Its not the fastest thing but man when it goes round bends like that I couldnt care less.Doggo wrote:And just to re-iterate Ratty's comment, mine is a '99 H22A8 (61k miles, 15 services and 2 cam belts) and although the pickup can be quite noticeable in first and second with a wide open throttle, it doesn't really "kick" as Donald's (characteristically idiosyncratically defined) muppets would seem to suggest.

I also got the obligatory "omg look at your back wheel!!" when we parked up. Such satisfaction. I cant wait to see how well the coilovers cope. I was originally going to slam it on the ground but I think I will get them properly set up now!

If you're in the southeast, why not come down to Portsdown Hill on Sunday? You'll be able to make some comparisons.vetrox wrote: Anyone in the south east want to take me out in theirs?
