Manifold and exhaust compatibility?

Post by chris1811 » Thu Jun 25, 2015 8:27 pm

Hi guys,

Looking at getting an exhaust from Wurly, before he goes stripping it all off the breaker for me can anyone tell me if.....

An F22B manifold/downpipe flange the same as an H22 downpipe flange?
If not, is an F22B exhaust port to manifold set up the same as an H22?

i.e will the system manifold downpipe, decat, and silencer from an H22 fit my F22B JDM? if not all which parts will?

Cheers

nope the Vtec engine is taller so one or both manifold and downpipe will be longer on the h22 than on the f22 and the flanges on the exhaust catback to the cat are slightly different on the f22 and smaller than the h22

you can make the exhaust fit but you will need the whole exhaust and cat or decat you will be fiddling for hours if you try mixing all different parts get a stainless ebay manifold for the F22/H23 and fit the cat/decat and catback from a h22 it will be an upgrade

I've got the whole lot on offer to me from manifold back. So if i say take it from cat back (Inc cat) I should be able to fettle it on?? :)

yep all the hangers are in the right place the exhaust will hang right with the matching cat you may have to lengthen the holes in the manifold to cat flange thats it really
