This was all explained in your other thread. All of the issues you have described could be attributed to ignition timing, hence why me and Wurly went over it with you in the other thread. Until you know that your ignition timing is correct, it is almost pointless doing anything else.hoppi05 wrote: The Dizzy is not timed up correctly due to been a new one and this looks to be a pain to do as there are no timing marks on a H2B conversion does anyone know how to do the ignition timing? Can it be done live whilst plugged into the computer like the auto tech was looking at?
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

To be fair, I threw mine together without setting the igntion timing, I just had it somewhere near the middle, and it ran fine (though more powerful once fully done).
How to do the timing fully, turn the engine to TDC, scribe a mark on the flywheel through the viewing window and then set it with a gun that can compoensate for the 15 degrees offset.
Having the fuel pressure regulator controlled by the IAB system is the most likely reason its running badly, I'm awaiting its first test drive withthe vac lines correctly routed....................
If the vac lines do not sort it, double check the cambelt timing (a bit of work I know!), use this opportunity to mark the fly as you will be able to clearly see TDC.

Fingers crossed that is it.Vtecmec wrote:Having the fuel pressure regulator controlled by the IAB system is the most likely reason its running badly, I'm awaiting its first test drive withthe vac lines correctly routed....................
I drove Vanzep's car when the timing was out. Accelerating in 2nd felt like it was in 4th.
Re: hesitation issues (again) on my H2B swap HELP......
Cheers guys I appreciate the comments and yes the ignition timming will be out based on the fact it's never been set on this setup and all the new parts but I have drove other hondas with the ignition timming out and it's not as bad as what we have at present even on ones that have been badly setup wrong BUT It's very very valid however finding someone near me do do this without the timing marks is hard as there are no 'tuning' companies locally and we don't want to drive it in the state it is in.
That all being said yes I will take it out tonight and see if anything has changed???

I suggested to you how to set the timing marks in the other thread. You either need to take the gearbox off, or more easily, get hold of another flywheel and work it out from that. With another flywheel and a protractor it is fairly simple.hoppi05 wrote:finding someone near me do do this without the timing marks

Yes you did buddy and thank you I don't have another flywheel yet I have asked locally so when someone does I will borrow it and do that and tbh removing the engine is going to be hard as it's no longer at my friends garage plus it was a pig last time lol
Thanks again guys

just got round to it tonight still did not work still felt like a parachute was holding me back
so i will check the fuel side this weekend as we have found a pic of the injectors we got and they didn't look that great tbh so it may be those???
i will run the tests from the manual to see if any are bad and i have 4 others in the garage to swap them with, if that does not do anything i think we have hit our limit we never had an engine do this and never had one we haven't managed to get running even with the ignition timing out we have played with retarding and advancing on numerous engines in the past and even when we got those way wrong they did not feel like this....
it still ticks over fine no CEL's it still feel like a sensor is wrong but all tests from the manual have checked out
we will keep trying one more weekend.....
thanks for all the help guys i am determined to get it to JAE even if i have to pay someone else to fix it....
