My mate is very well informed, usually having 6 - 9 points on his licence at any time! I will ask him next time I see him what it was covered under. You may be right with the due care and attention, but I'm not too sure.

He told me that whenever I'm driving, I should light my smokes up when stopped at a red light with the car in neutral and the handbrake up, otherwise I can be prosecuted under due care and attention, and it has saved me a couple of times that knowledge too!

The rate it's going though, how long will it be till putting the sun visor down is classed as driving without due care and attention?

A mate of mine was stopped cos he had his phone wedged in one of the steering wheel gaps while he was in a call and driving, tried to do him for using it not hands-free (if that makes sense) :|

for the first time i have to agree with Crazy-c
i was stopped last year coming away from the beach, copper saw me get in the car barefoot and pulled me.
let me off with a caution, but it is illegal to drive barefoot. can't see slippers being a problem ;)
he said that in an emergency stop situation you could not apply enough pressure to the pedal/brake, had to listen to the lecture and put my trainers on.
it does hurt your feet to drive barefoot though ;)

I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

Confirms what I thought though, that it is not illegal.

I use my "middle leg" to operate the brake.

Driving in loafers FTW. Senna style.
