I thought you had to turn wheel 45 to 60 degrees with engine off. Ah well will try again thanks for your help guys got used to it not working light gets on my nerves on dash is it an mot failure ?

The angles refer to the steering wheel.
Yes it's a failure.
Unsafe etc.

An MoT tester near me says it's only a failure if the warning light shows. Apparently, there's no tick box for 4WS on his list.
I wouldn't recommend removing the bulb, but ...
