I still have my first car key too! My Audi A4 engine blew up and she had to go to the big scrap yard in the skyGorgon wrote:Still got the key to my first car on my keyring.
Some peenarse decided to drive into me and write it off, still not over it![]()
As for letting go of a car for another one... I couldn't wait to bore off my old 406 for the Lude
Haha maybe I need to get down the pub tomorrow, have a few drinks and think about how awesome having another Honda will beTashini wrote:I got over getting rid of my beloved escort with a bottle of wine...
Now it all seems worth it as I learnt the way of the lude. At the time though, I was gutted to get rid of Stella, my sexy black escort!
drokking thing was a nightmare. I hated it even more because it was given to me (so it was free... can't grumble about that) by my dad's mate as a replacement for my written off car. Wasn't until I actually got in it that I realised why it was free. I spent enough money to buy your average lude just keeping it going for a year... I remember after it went for an MOT, and somehow passed, the alternator gave up on the A11 at rush hour as I was approaching a roundabout at 60-70mph. When I dropped it off at the scrappy it wouldn't start again when they went to move it, good timing for me I guessjjmartin349571 wrote:maybe you're onto something with the 406 thing though - if I only ever have unloveable cars I'll never miss them when they die or get soldGorgon wrote:Still got the key to my first car on my keyring.

Though a 4g. Even if you think the 5g will look next to the accord!
This is another thing that's bugging me, I've put so much work into the Golf as it was a total muffin for ages!! Now it actually runs ok and all of a sudden I'm deciding to sell it...Gorgon wrote:drokking thing was a nightmare.
