1998 S Reg 2.2 Prelude FOR SALE

potentially up for sale is my Silver 1998 Honda Prelude 2.2 VTI

I have owned this car for just under a year and it has been reliable as my daily. I brought it with every intention of restoring it to its full glory..... However, having a young child means that i have been unable to finance a lot, other than brand new tyres all round! and it doesn't seem like ill have the funds anytime soon so i feel someone else can restore it and enjoy it more than me! like i said it has new tires all round and it is in good condition other than the rust issues on the arches and a slight scuff on the front bumper. The car has just done 66985 miles (will obviously increase as i drive it to and from work). Paintwork in good condition for its age. it comes with 3 keys in total. 2 main keys and a red Honda key?

the MOT is due in October which i will get done prior to selling - already spoken to my mechanic who reckons it should fly through!

Any other details are listed below -

engine on just under 69000 miles
new tyres all round 2 months back - only around 2000 miles on these (if that!)
3 owners including me (was in one family before me. The lady i brought it off, had it given to her by her dad who owned it from new)
Full Motegi Body Kit
4 wheel steering
Very Good condition interior!
Part service history
VTEC still pulls strong and as it should!

Bad points:
Rust on arches (see project link below for pictures)
Will require a service soon!
small scuff on front bumper
all alloys will need refurbishing

Mechanically very sound and i have never had a problem with it - really sad to be letting it go however i feel someone else could enjoy the car a lot more than i do and it has the potential to be an absolute gem when the small issues are amended.

Hi in your project page it mentions about clutch and tracking has this been done ?
So take it as u haven't sorted rust or refurb the wheels

Apologies - i always miss something. it wasn't the clutch that went, the slaver master cylinder / master slave cylinder? needed replacing which i had done and i got the balance and tracking checked and it was fine - the previous lady owner had two winter tyres on which the guy believed was causing a slight pull however since having brand new tyres all round there are no issues with it.

and with regards to the rust / alloys - no i haven't had the money to get anything i had planned done as i have got a young child - hence why i am selling it as i feel someone else can enjoy it more and bring it up to scratch!
