I took almost everything back to bare metal.
Removed all rust and treated the spots witch were a bit rusted.
Then bought some black anti rust and primer in one. Did a few layers. Two more
layers black lacker and then underbody coating.
Think there are some pictures on page 1 of my topic.

Do it once and properly.

Bare metal areas. Etch Primer
Once all of its keyed up with 400grit highest. 240 will do perfect. Degrease.

Use a 2part Epoxy primer such as Bilt Hamber epoxy mastic. 2 layers 20mins between layers.
It cannot be forced dried and will take around 9-10 hours at 20degrees C to dry.
It runs easy but does apply thick if you use a spray gun with at least a 1.8mm head. 2.3-2.5mm head ideal.

Once dry Scotch it up and pop the colour on or further stone chip rubbeized paint then colour.

Can you use a roller on it, its going to spend most of its life on track so will not go the stone chip route

Hi,

i panted my red prelude underside but i used a spray gun , used a roller to wax it and sprayed 12 kg rust protection fat in all holes
Good thing is it was already free of rust since it was always garaged and hope it will stay free of rust
