though mine still spits flames at top of rev range with the spoon copy chip

I'd say ignition or valve clearances, mine is decatted, chipped and all the other things and does not spit flames. Though I never rev it to 8k.

i do rev it to 8k-its a BB4-your meant to

to be fair its only done it once or twice since ive had the type s cams installed and when using vtec early into journey ie/only 90% fully warmed up
