Then reality kicked in!

Bit of a long story. Two days before Christmas I took my Soarer to my local garage to get the fluid levels checked(well I was not goingto pratt about in the cold doing it this weather) when I noticed the garage owner had a mint 1996 Honda CBR600.
I say "Is that yours?" "Yes" says he do you want to take it for a blast?" So on with his helmet and his last words before I set off was "If you want it its 900 quid". Off I go and within 3 miles I was going to buy it! I was giving it some and then I pulled into a layby not by choice but because my body had rejected the brains idea! The pro's were I liked it and I felt normal again.

Now for the cons
1 I have spinal stenosis and my right leg below the knee had lost all feeling so the back brake and kick stand were going to be a problem.
2 I have Carpel tunnel syndrome and both my hands were starting to hurt and tingle(which happens before I lose all feeling in them temporally.)
3 I will be 71 in 3 months so I wondered about my reactions
4 Even if I had it where the effing hell was I going to put my elbow crutches as I can't walk without them?

After 10 minutes I took it back and said "Thanks but no thanks" got in the Lexus and had a nice quiet warm drive home!

Still it was a nice dream while it lasted!

i can see no con's. life is tempory! enjoy it!

go back, offer him £600, even if you take it out for a 2 mile ride once a month it'll be worth it.

may stop you being so bloody grumpy all the time
