Up until October 2011, it was a daily driven car, but has since semi retired (hence the reduction in milage). To and from work, I'm now a bus vvanker, Generally now, The Lude only gets used on Wednesday evenings and weekends. This is generally, obviously this varies when I'm off work and has the occasional ad-hoc journey and long distance journey.

I keep all petrol receipts and enter them in a spreadsheet - yes, how sad am I?

Now what would be interesting is to see if there is a significant difference in mpg vs cost. Do you have stats per fill up i.e. price per L and mpg?

I record the date, odometer reading, litres put in, price of fill up, any discount applied and when the low fuel level light illuminates.

Sometimes I miss the exact mileage the light illuminates so it isn't always recorded. The long gap was when my car's fuel gauge sending unit failed and was subsequently replaced.

Some anomalies appeared in the data (missed recording?) where it calculated 200+ mpg in some places, <10 in others. One I can recall is where you put a fiver in, drove 1 mile, then put in 50 quids worth - I know why you'd do that, but it threw the very basic formula I used off kilter. Anyway I omitted the extremes (basically anything >±12 mpg from your average) and it hasn't affected the overall trend.

That's some epic data collection. Not sure if I've misinterpreted the figures here but the the v-power fuel saver card or whatever it's called doesn't seem to save you anything. Well it does but £20 a year, really...

Goes to show that these Hondas loosen up a bit over time & mileage doesn't make them thirsty & tired..
